Key programming — Pairing the new transponder or smart key to the vehicle's immobilizer and confirming start.
This is a multi-step process that requires multiple tools, professional training, and experience with the specific security architecture of your vehicle. It is not something a general locksmith with one generic programmer can reliably complete on current vehicles.
